Kundalini Yoga Instructor
Catherine Skyrm, CNHP, has been a natural health advocate for 31 years and a lifelong yoga enthusiast.
When Catherine was introduced to Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, she embraced the Kundalini Yoga lifestyle and discipline. She received her certification at Yogi Bhajan’s ashram in Espanola, New Mexico, and has been teaching since 2001. Catherine continues to advance herself in this field through ongoing study.
The practice of Kundalini Yoga not only strengthens and tones the body, it also balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system and enables us to harness the energy of the mind and the emotions, so we can be in control of ourselves, rather than being controlled by our thoughts and feelings. We strive to unite our body, mind and soul using pranayam (breath), postures, mantra (sound), and mudra (hand positions).
This yoga is for busy people who do not have hours to spend learning complicated yoga postures. Each class includes breathing techniques, exercise, meditation and relaxation.
In addition to being a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor, Catherine has earned certification as a Holistic Iridologist and a Natural Health Professional.
Catherine Skyrm teaches Kundalini Yoga at Baker Hunt.
