Judy Sanders, accomplished artist and long-time instructor at The Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center, offers multiple classes per year focused on: drawing, painting, gardening, science, mixed-media, puppet-making, and more!
For twenty-two years, Judy Sanders has been teaching art to students ages 4 to 100. She instructs classes on-campus as well Baker Hunt’s Senior Outreach art education at the Covington Ladies Home. Herself a noted artist, Judy was the first recipient of the Behringer-Crawford Museum’s 2011 award for teaching contributions and excellence in Northern Kentucky. Since 1993 she has extended her artistic creativity and enthusiasm to students in our community at such venues as Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center, James E. Biggs Early Childhood Education Center Collaborative, and Baker Hunt Art & Cultural Center, and others. For thirteen years, before her art teaching career, Judy did window dressing and floor display for Macy’s in New York City. She has always pursued her artistic impulses, and has been making art all her life. She says, “I am lucky, I get to do what I love! We all have creative ability. Everyone is an artist. I prove it every day.”
