Week 1
Blacklight Art!:
June 18- 22nd

All things GLOW in our first camp of the summer, where we will be experimenting with light and shadow. Students get to explore with UV and discover how art can change under different light conditions. We’ll work our way to designing a neon-filled art show that will reveal special hidden art that glows in the dark! Campers will complete art projects based on the theme of glow-in-the-dark art, which will be displayed at an art show celebration on the final day.
Ages 5-10

Week 2
Animal Kingdom:
June 25-29

Get ready to get WILD this week, as we explore the habitats of some of our favorite creatures on the planet. Students will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of natural environments, creating art inspired by the appearance, habits and habitats of critters large and small! We’ll observe and recreate the sounds, silhouettes, and textures of animals in projects ranging from clay to creating our own plush toy animals. Campers will complete art projects based on the theme of animals in art, which will be displayed at an art show celebration on the final day.
Ages 5-10  * Half Day Camp is Sold Out

Week #3
The Life of Bugs!
July 9-13

Join us in a journey of small-scale proportion! We’ll be playing with size and scale in all our projects this week, imagining how perspective changes through the (many) eyes of an insect. Students will create projects that explore how art can change when it’s really big or really small, learning about insects from all over the world. Whether you have antennae or not, two legs or eight legs, you’re sure to enjoy seeing the world from a bug’s perspective! Campers will complete art projects based on the theme of insects and scale in art, which will be displayed at an art show celebration on the final day.
Ages 5-10

Week #4
Creative Creature Creations!
July 16-20

You play the mad scientist in this week of imagination! We’ll be dreaming up creatures and drafting up our very own myths, making fun monsters in a variety of art media. Incorporating world mythology into our art lessons, campers have the chance to learn about the origin stories of great creatures around the world while drawing, sculpting, painting and writing about their own. Join us for a week of projects where your imagination can fly and breathe fire! Campers will complete art projects based on the theme of imagined mythological creatures in art, which will be displayed at an art show celebration on the final day.
Ages 5-10

 Week #5
Out of This World Art!
July 23-27

We’re launching into space this week to take your imagination out of this world! Take a rocket to the moon and back as we find inspiration in outer space. We’ll be exploring astronomical art projects to expand your creative process beyond what’s possible on planet Earth. Students will create with optical illusions, tessellations and visual elements of other planets in our Solar System in all their artwork. Campers will complete art projects based on the theme of space in art, which will be displayed at an art show celebration on the final day.
Ages 5-10
